Our History
Established in February of 1982 the Harvester Restaurant has always been known for a relaxed dining experience, with warm gracious service where every guest is made to feel welcome and at home. Founded and built by three friends and entrepreneurs, Bill Schieche of Spangle's Bill's Service, Jay Wernz with the bank of Fairfield, and John Holling a local farmer. Under their leadership, the Harvester ran successfully for nineteen years before it was sold to Mike and Cheryl Didier in July of 2001. Soon after in April of 2003 Frank DeLis and his son Aaron took over the reins and made numerous improvements to the decor and updated the kitchen. Today Melissa and Brent Bozarth are turning a new page in the restaurant's history as of June of 2008. Planning to run the restaurant successfully and pass it down to her two boys in time. With enthusiasm, experience, and plenty of energy. Don't be surprised the next time you come in for a meal if she remembers your name. With Melissa in charge, you can expect great food and fast friendly service... It's always a great day at the HARVESTER...
